  • Equipment Composition

    A typical AIS MACHINERY high-speed slitting line includes the following main components:

    1. Hydraulic Uncoiler – Holds and uncoils heavy steel coils (up to 25 tons).

    2. Leveling Unit – Flattens the coil to ensure uniformity before slitting.

    3. Slitter Head – Equipped with rotary knives to cut the coil into multiple strips.

    4. Scrap Winder – Rewinds edge scrap for easy collection.

    5. Tension Stand – Applies back tension for clean rewinding.

    6. Recoiler – Rewinds the slit strips into compact coils.

    7. Hydraulic Pusher & Coil Car – For easy loading/unloading of master and slit coils.

    8. PLC Control System – Centralized touchscreen interface for automated and manual operation.


    Operating Process & Step-by-Step Explanation

    1. Loading the Coil
      The coil is loaded onto the hydraulic uncoiler using a coil car. Hydraulic arms clamp the coil securely.

    2. Feeding & Leveling
      The steel sheet is fed into the leveler to remove curvature and ensure flatness.

    3. Slitting Process
      The sheet enters the slitter, where rotary knives precisely cut it into pre-set strip widths.

    4. Edge Trimming & Scrap Collection
      Scrap edges are removed and wound by the scrap winder.

    5. Tension Control
      The strips pass through the tension stand to ensure tight, even rewinding.

    6. Recoiling
      Each slit strip is wound into a coil on the recoiler. A separator system ensures neat stacking.

    7. Unloading
      Finished coils are pushed out with a hydraulic pusher and moved via coil car.
