Product Description

Zinc wire is a highly pure metal wire (purity up to 99.9%) produced through precision melting and wire-drawing processes.
With excellent corrosion resistance, low melting temperature, and strong adhesion, zinc wire is widely used in thermal spray coating, galvanizing repair, and anti-corrosion protection for steel structures and ERW steel pipes.

We supply zinc wire in multiple diameters:
1.2 mm – 2.5 mm – 3.17 mm – 4.0 mm (custom available).
Packaging options: coils, drums, spools.

  • zinc wire in drum
  • zinc wire package by drum

Why Zinc Wire Is Important for ERW Steel Pipes

Although zinc wire is not directly used during ERW pipe forming or HF welding, it plays a key role in protecting ERW pipes after production.
ERW pipes used in outdoor, marine, and industrial environments require strong anti-corrosion protection. Thermal zinc spraying is one of the most effective solutions.

Using zinc wire helps:

  • • Improve corrosion resistance of ERW pipes

  • • Protect welding seam areas

  • • Repair cut edges after forming

  • • Replace or reinforce hot-dip galvanizing

  • • Extend service life in harsh environments

This makes zinc wire essential for pipe manufacturers, coating contractors, and steel fabricators.

Main Applications of Zinc Wire

1. Thermal Zinc Spraying (Metallizing)

Melted zinc wire is sprayed onto ERW pipe surfaces to create a uniform protective coating.
Suitable for:

  • Structural ERW pipes

  • Mechanical tubing

  • Construction pipes

  • Marine or offshore pipes

  • Pipeline supports & brackets

2. Galvanizing Repair for ERW Pipes

After cutting, welding, or fabricating ERW pipes, the original zinc coating may be damaged.
Zinc wire is used for:

  • Weld seam repair

  • Heat-affected zone protection

  • Edge and corner coating

  • Touch-up on hot-dip galvanized pipes

3. Anti-Corrosion Coating for Heavy-Duty Projects

Zinc-sprayed ERW pipes are widely used in:

  • Bridges

  • Petrochemical plants

  • Power industry

  • Solar and wind power structures

  • Marine construction

  • Fencing & poles

  • zinc wire package
